The bedroom level of the villa is lowered below the road to protect the bedrooms and provide maximum privacy. It provides four bedrooms, all facing the garden and the sea, and two bathrooms. From the public realm, you can only see the unassuming green roof that projects over the west-facing terrace. The extensive glazing of the living spaces slides open to disappear almost completely, blurring the lines between inside and outside and extending the living and dining areas to the external deck.
The real highlight is the pool. It is cast in high-quality fair-faced concrete, the utmost of modern style and structural stability. Its west-facing wall is all glass, re-defining the term “infinity pool”.
We used materials that reflect the modern sensibility of the design. The fair-face concrete is complemented by the iroko wood boards that form the deck and clad the entrance. The white marble floors match the kitchen worktops to striking effect. The bedrooms feature wood parquet floors and oak wardrobes that lend warmth to the spaces. The materials. combined with the build quality that Kuutio Homes are known for, ensure that this is a home that will last a long time.
There’s more: the bottom is glazed too, allowing light to filter through to the floor below it, creating a stunning effect. It is located on the upper level of the villa. We saw this as an opportunity to cantilever it in the air, as it projects towards the sea.
